Our Kahana Reef unit is a third floor studio condominium in a low rise building with 550 square feet including the lanai. You are within 35 feet of the ocean breakwater overlooking Molokai and Lanai islands. This is an end unit with full privacy and side windows for more light and airflow. You will see beautiful sunsets at all times of the year in a romantic quiet environment. Whales are visible from the unit during whale season (December to April) and you may see turtles, dolphins and rays from the lanai at all times of the year.
There is a queen size wall bed in the living room looking out at the water and a single bed, dresser and full length mirror in a small half bedroom on the street side of the unit. The unit is set up for a maximum of 3 people. The wall bed is out of the way during the day so you have a full living room and you sleep comfortably at night listening only to the sounds of the surf and looking out the floor to ceiling windows at the water. Street noise rarely can be heard over the sound of the ocean on this side of the building. This is the only unit in this complex that is set up for guests to sleep on the ocean side and not on the street side.
Washers and dryers are located in the shared laundry on the first floor which can be accessed by either stairs or elevator.
There is a beach beginning at the north end of the property and extending past two other condominium complexes or the pool and lounge chairs and grass areas on site can be used.
All units in this complex have ocean views but only our building closest to the water has no view of other buildings in the complex. The side views in the other buildings are blocked. Our view is complete from side to side of nothing but beautiful Maui water, sun and sunsets.
This complex is close to Maui Brews in the Kahana Gateway shopping center and China Boat is across the street.
